So I just started WW & I am 4 days in & have already lost 4 lbs. (1 lb per day). Is this the norm? My goal is 20-25 lbs, I assume after the first 5, it will slow down?

Mine did! I lost 6 pounds the first week, then tapered to one pound on average per week. Sometimes more, sometimes less. When I test myself and eat badly, I have gained. I started February 3, and I’m down 21 pounds

I lost 4 pounds the first week, and it took me 7 weeks to lose 4 more. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, just don’t want you to be disappointed like I was! Hopefully, you will lose faster than I did. Best of luck to you!

You’re off to a great start. As your body gets use to your new way of eating it will adjust. Remember a healthy weight loss is . 5 to 2 pounds a week.

My biggest loss was the first week and the 12th week. I average a pound a week on most weeks. I started with 30 to lose. 9 more to go.

Everyone loses a lot more the 1st 2-3 weeks and then it levels a bit . it equals to be about a pound a week +/-

Afraid not. No. Nope. Not likely. That said, how fast you lose may depend a great deal on your current weight and your previous eating habits.

The body takes time to adapt and regulate. Do NOT "Live by the scales" You'll grin one day and cry another day. It's an average. It's just doing the right thing, day after day. It helps (at least for me) to go in five pound chunks. you know. down to the "something-5", then down to "something-0" Then, "wheeeeeeeeew" Got under THAT line, then down into the next numbered bracket. Much is water weight. Some is stress. Some is muscle strengthening (or not). It's a long term. over all. bumpy ride and plateaus. As I said. "DO NOT. live by the scales" especially if you are on them, more than once a week. RIGHT❓ RIGHT ‼️ Most of us lost a bit more. just out of the gate. It rarely continues. Best of luck. Hang in. walk, water, walk, water, walk. and for heaven sake. BE PATIENT ‼️

Unfortunately that wasn't my norm. Wish it was, though.

Everyone will lose differently. Also know that you may not lose every week. You may have weeks with stability and gains. It’s all part of the process.

Just be happy and don’t assume and don’t try to guess what’s going to happen. My very first time on weight watchers in the 70s, I lost 11 pounds the first week. I was also in my 20s.
