I am so disappointed in myself. I was on WW last year. I was 206 lbs. That was the most I've ever weighed. I lost 40 lbs and was 166 lbs and felt great and had a lot of energy. In September I went on vacation to visit my family in another state. Came home and fell off track and gained almost the whole thing back. I am now 200 lbs. I started back on WW again yesterday and started my workout routine. I walk the treadmill. Plus I work and clean house and take our dogs for walks. I am telling you I have never been so sore after working out. I can't remember if I was this sore last year when I started working out in the beginning. I worked out yesterday and today and my legs are so sore. Those of you who started working out, were you sore and if so how long were you sore for? I am back on track and I am determined to get to my goal weight of 140 lbs.
I am so disappointed in myself.

I too have regained the weight lost. I also am recommitting. I would be glad to join in on holding each other accountable, and supporting each other's efforts.

Go slow. It’s not a race. You will get there but take it slow working out to start and build up.

Of course because you're using muscles you haven't used in a long time

@spur19 but walking I do everyday. I just don't get why my legs hurt from walking the treadmill when I use the same muscles to walk everyday.

I'm right there with you. Made lifetime at 165 about a year ago. I've put back on 30 (I'm 195 now). trying not to put back on the other 25 I lost. and take off that 30 again. The struggle is real! Trying to not be too frustrated with myself for gaining what I thought I'd never gain again. It's definitely a journey. Good luck to you getting back on program!

Me too Bernice. I lost 35, then put it all back on, and a little more. Happy to be an accountability buddy.

Yes I was sore and even some times when I work different muscle groups I get sore. Alternate muscle groups you work so your muscles have a chance to heal. After a workout stretch. Hold each stretch 15 seconds and then stretch farther. It will help.

The way I kept my weight off was I stopped diet sodas and processed foods. Your body doesn’t recognize the chemicals in the foods so it stores it as fat. First time I lost I gained it all back and more. Until I learned clean eating. 82lbs gone for 3 years almost.

Don’t be disappointed in yourself for falling off the wagon, it’s how we learn. Be proud of yourself for knowing you can do this! You will be sore after a workout, you probably were before too but forgot once you got stronger & you will get stronger again. Good for you for getting back on track

I’m right there with you I have been running this race my whole life but I think this time which is help me get on the 70 pounds off. (I’ve been teetering with the same 5 pounds for the last year) 1- how we get there is how we stay there. 2- there is no finish line. Keep reminding yourself of those two things and maybe it will help. Also be kind to yourself

This usually happens when habits aren’t in place. No matter the program if you don’t have the fundamentals nothing works long term If soreness is still present on day 3 then it was too much ! I usually like to the 1-2 day rule Keep at it and it will get easier! You already know that !

Well done you . It can be so disheartening to backtrack. But you are still 6lb lighter than your start weight so you’re still winning. The soreness will quickly pass and be replaced by a sense of achievement. ❤️❤️

I started jogging a month ago, still sore some days. The wretched-ness sore wore off in about 4 days for me. Like if I had to stand up or sit down I could do it without wincing.

I am telling you, this trying to eat healthy, and exercise during this stressful time is a b#%~h! I have days that are so good as far as eating. I KNOW what to do. But I just don’t always. The exercise I get is walking. I can do 3-4 miles a day. But getting both done on the same day, is not always working. As what we have all heard, we are all in this together. Sometimes easier said than done. I will say I am doing better than when this first started. Then I was eating every 2 hours. Now, that is not happening. Some days I eat 3 small meals a day. Sometimes 1. But the good news is, I have toilet paper, paper towels, and meat in the freezer. And more importantly I have family near bye if I need something or help. Yeah I don’t take out my garbage. I firmly believe that is why God gave me boys! So, it’s Sunday. A new day. A new week. We just need to go along, and not beat ourselves up. That’s why this forum is here. Thanks for listening ladies!

Drink a lot of water during and after you exercise and when you are really hurting take a Epson salt and a table spoon of Evo in hot water in your tub with a measured glass of wine for your soak . You deserve it
