Had major surgery on April 22. Told to eat more especially protein since your body needs the calories to heal. Well that was true. And I had continued to lose weight. Well fortunately I have healed well. But unfortunately I am having a hard time getting back on track. Gained 1. 8 lbs. this past week. Anyone else experience this?

After my surgery in October, it took a good month for me to get back to my presurgery weight. Stay the course, you can do it.

Chicken, fish, eggs have lots of protein.

Be gentle on yourself. It takes waaaaay more than 5 weeks to “heal” your body! Protein is a big help, so is drinking more water and flushing One day at a time

Your body can only digest 25 g of protein in one sitting the rest gets turned into fat that’s why you have to weigh your protein for ounces

Hope you can exercise even if it's just with a YouTube video if you can't get out and walk. I start the day with exercise and it helps me get my mind on straight by not eating junk food

After my breast reduction this year I had the same experience. Lost a bunch while off then when life returned to normal I gained 5 back. But it's understandable. Give yourself grace. Remind yourself why you started. Dig into recipes. Pinterest. Meal plan for 1 week. And take it from there

You are doing great ., I had surgery during this pandemic and gained 7 x that. you are doing fine .,
