I treated myself to 1 for dinner IF I drank all my water for the day. It encouraged me to drink my water so I could get my treat .

Yes, it was actually easier than I thought it would be. I like flavor and have a hard time drinking just water, so I’ve been doing either decaf coffee or add a little Mio to the water for flavoring. Now, pop is too sweet!

I went to seltzer water with fruit or naturally flavored. I found I needed bubbles and have been soda free for 8 years or so. Now really don't use seltzer water much.

I just started WW yesterday and decided no soda starting then as well. I bought Mio Energy water enhancer. It has caffeine to help keep caffeine withdrawal headaches away. It’s only 2 days but so far so good!

I stopped a few years ago my only suggestion to plan for the caffeine headache. Mine happened about 2 days after my last caffeinated drink.

I was drinking 3-4 cans of Diet Pepsi a day. I’d encoded to give them up for the 40 day challenge for lent and I haven’t gone back. If I need the bubbles I’ll use my soda stream or have a Bubly. but if not, I usually reach for water.

Remind yourself how bad it is for you, that being said, occasionally you may still want one but. try making infused water instead. Try lemons or limes, do a fruit infusion, cucumbers with mint. Keep a container in the fridge handy. Much healthier, good luck

I feel you! I used to drink 2 diet sodas day. When I first started WW I stopped drinking it. Never really missed it. I had hip surgery and the first thing they gave me was ginger ale Well that set me off to drinking soda again! However, I only drink one at lunch time. I love it❤️❤️❤️

I did, but for me, it was a very gradual process. I gave up one (per day) each week, replacing it with water, until I was down to my final one per day, my after work can/bottle. That took me a few weeks to give up. But, well worth it! Others might prefer to do it 'cold turkey'

I quit diet sodas for four years and noticed nothing different. I still fought with weight gain and brain fog but for me it was due to a hormonal imbalance. I got my hormones under control and feel better than I have in years. I drink one or two diet drinks on most days. No they are not healthy but do what makes you happy.

I completely gave it up after reading a book in brain fog! The first two days were the hardest. I still drink plain carbonated water. I love the feel of the bubbles. I got off of all artificial flavors and the only caffeine that I drink is one cup of coffee per day. It has really made a difference with the brain fog, headaches, and the ability to sleep.

I am a Diet Coke addict! I switched to flavored sparkling water like Buble, it helps me feel like I have something! There are lots of brands, but be careful to not buy one with asparatame or fake sweeteners, then it’s just as bad as diet pop.

I was a HUGE Diet Coke drinker and stopped cold turkey in January and quickly lost 4 lbs and a bunch of bloat. I only drink water and green tea now. nothing carbonated at all. I missed Diet Coke a lot for the first week or so but then I felt so much less bloated that I was happy about it and don’t even think about it anymore. I drank more than 100 oz of it a day before.

I quit about twenty years ago. Was drinking Diet Coke way too much! It was literally making me sick. So I just stopped and it made a huge difference in how I felt. Once in while I would drink a diet Squirt or Root Beer, now none of them taste good to me. Changed doctors a couple of years ago and because of my age he ordered a bone scan & was shocked at how good they were! He asked if I drank soda and I told him I quit years ago on my own. He was impressed, so was my dentist. Soda is terrible for bones & teeth.

I quit. I kept getting UTI's. I read that caffeine aggravates it, so I quit cold turkey. It was hard. I had a severe headache. I ended up drinking some caffeine to help the headache, but went right back off it. Occasionally, I drink some once in a while. I haven't found a difference in weight loss. They say, it gives you a false sense of eating sugar and when you don't actually get the sugar, you try to make up for it. I don't think they know for sure. If you are drinking sugared soda, that's too many points.

I was a Pepsi drinker. I have no idea how I did it. But I know the day or two after Christmas 2018, I saw the WW commercials and said I am going to do it. I had it in my mind to succeed! I had my last Pepsi the last Friday in 2018 (or so I thought) and started WW that Saturday. Late Jan, my son got a Pepsi, I took a sip, yuck! I think I tried one or two more sips here and there and all yuck. But that June, I took my daughter up to freshman orientation-a 2. 5 hr drive and we left at about 5:30am plus I didn’t sleep well so I caved and had a Pepsi to help give me a jolt for the ride home. That was it. Again, I have had a sip or two but no craving. Even yesterday we were in Walmart white trash pool shopping and at check out I was thirsty but the iced teas I didn’t like the flavors, I don’t drink Starbucks ever, there was orange and ginger ale, nope and there was Pepsi. Nope, it was always my thirst quencher drink. I checked out without it and had water at home. So basically cold turkey!

What exactly is thr thing that draws you the most? Is it thr carbonation? Can you start drinking carbonated water? Maybe instead of drinking 5 a day (just an example) start by going down to 3 a day. Then get rid of two more after a week or so. Now you're only drinking it once a day. Then go a day between. Wean yourself off. Also praise progress not perfection.
