Ok.  where are my early AM workout people?Ok. where are my early AM workout people?  ☀️ All week, I’ve been saying I’m going to get up at 5:00 AM to workout and it hasn’t happened yet. I’ve done AM workouts in the past(so I know it’s possible)- just have to commit! I’ve been working out at night instead, so I haven’t been skipping. But, I rather be doing other things at night. FYI- I work out at home. not a gym. For those of you who successfully work out early in the AM. what are your go-to tips, tricks, positive self talk, or inspiration that gets you out of bed and working out?!  Thanks in advance! Update: I did it!  Thanks for all the inspiration everyone!  I woke up at 5:00 & did a tough 30 min PopSugar Cardio Workout! Now, I feel energized & awake! Thank you all for being my digital accountability partners!

I’m an early workout person too. I live in a condo and we have a small gym in our community. My TV turns on at 2:15am at high volume. then my alarms (yes more than one) go off at 2:15 and 2:30. I get up and get my gym clothes on, take the dog out to potty and then I get to the gym by 3:00. I use the elliptical for 45-65 minutes. (Shorter times if I get there after 3:15 as I need to be home by 4:15). I’ve been doing this steady since mid July of last year 4-6 days a week. My reason for early morning workouts are as follows: I have to be to work at 6am. It’s too easy to come up with reasons why to not go at night vs morning. It energizes my day!

I joined a class I love 3 days a week. 6am and the friends and workout are great. To be honest I am a little lazy the other mornings but when I’m in the groove I get up then too. I have a desk job and feel so much better when I work our first.

Go before you do anything else like watch the news, check your phone, read. If you are a working person this is harder. Also difficult if you live in cold weather. Can you adjust your work schedule? Try and be creative.

I love working out early. I take a 5 am class 3-4 times a week. I absolutely love it. Hard at first but now my body just wakes up at 4:15 like clock work! Just think of all the extra things you’ll be able to get done after work

I get up at 4:30. Took some time to get in the groove but after a couple of weeks it’s like clockwork. Feel awful if I miss. Get a workout buddy. Someone to keep you accountable

Before bed I get all my stuff ready for the next day, one pile is all my workout stuff, shoes clothes, etc. Another pile with what I’m going to wear for the day (after shower, get dressed and go). Helps me stay focused. If I get up and I see it right away I’m more likely to do it. Plus, it starts my day off right by getting up and getting my workout in right away.

I get up at 5 bc I like the extra time in the morning before work. Now I’ve started getting my walk done in the morning. Can you maybe try a half hour earlier wake up time until you get used to it.

I do classes that charge $25 if skipped. So I have no choice but to get up at 4:15 and be there by 5. @perviouson’t wanna waste any more money

I roll out of bed at 6am throw on my sneakers and hit the treadmill . Sometimes I watch a tv show, sometime I listen to a podcast or u tube video . I have incorporated using hand weights while walking. I try to drink a bottle of water throughout . It really is a great way to start off your day . For me morning workouts are the best option as I am on my feet all day on a cement floor so by the end of the day, I’m spent. For the last year I have also been walking during my 30 min lunch break, outdoors when weather permits, indoor when it doesn’t -and 15 min of yoga at night . Also if you can find an accountability buddy that really helps. Best of luck on your journey!

I do workout @perviousV@perviouss in the am. I just set my alarm to get up and workout before I get ready for work. I make myself do it and remind myself of how much better I feel when I get it done.

Sleep in my workout clothes, but honestly, when I started doing early morning group classes I became more motivated to get out of bed

Everything must be done the night before making it brainless. I get up 415 for a 5am class. Leave house by 10 to the latest. Everything done night before so just go through motions.

I have said the same thing all week. Tomorrow morning. lol I even set the alarm. But turn it right off. Makes me sad because I was going at 5:30 every morning a year ago. I loved it. But I just can't get back on track.

My tip is to set your alarm and just go do it. I wake every day at 4:30 to go to the gym for a 5:45 class. (I like time to get awake, wash my face, drink coffee. ) It takes 21 days to make a habit. Now if I don’t go, I miss it.

I cannot do it! I tell myself I will, and I never do. I do it right after work. Wish I could wake my butt up for the morning workout. Good for you!

I did today. My clothes were set out and I worked out in my garage on the elliptical. Brrrr! My husband gets up to go to the gym at 4:30 every morning. I’m going back to working out after work. I was extra tired this evening. I need my sleep!

Understand‼️ When I worked I would get up at 5 and do walking @perviousV@pervious'S, Yoga, etc. I started with 1 day a week. I worked up to 3 days a week. I am now retired and getting up early is not "a have to", but I do, because I walk outside. 5 days a week. I set my Activity Tracker, that makes me get up and move. I have my Fitbit linked.

I hate getting up early, but I car pool to work with two people. The three of us joined the gym. I’m up at 4:40 at the gym by 6, work out for 40 minutes, shower and off to work. It’s the buddy system otherwise I would definitely be getting and extra hour sleep! Perhaps you can alternate. Either way, good for you. Your still doing it!

I set the alarm on my phone and put it across the room so I have to get out of bed to turn it off. Then I am up so it’s time to get moving

My alarm is set for 5:05. I let myself snooze a couple times if I need it. @perviousrink my pre workout while scrolling through Facebook, Amazon, etc. It’s a process to get out of bed, but it’s what I have to do! Goal is to get on the treadmill by 5:45

It helps me to put my alarm clock out of reach so I have to actually get out of bed to silence it. No opportunity to roll over and fall back to sleep.

Wear your workout clothes to bed. I did that until it became a habit to get up.
