I got itrackbites to try. Bought the upgrade for I think $35 for the whole year. Seems pretty much the same so far

@rebel my husband swears by itrackbites. com. He's lost more than 35 pounds using it since January. He also upgraded to the pro version so he could input recipes we make. Great way to go and very similar to Green plan on WW which I am on.

Well I can chat with a live coach 24:7 when I need to and free online work out classes are great for me.

@shewchuk7 has your app/phone been updated?

@maurizio607 I just went and checked and it says it was updated 22 hours ago (so nothing should have changed since this morning). But the ww x fit is showing now!

Honestly for me, the 20$ is definitely worth it. I love the connect community, the recipes, the points system. I’ve tried to loose weight for over a year with myfitnesspal before I joined WW. And I gained 10 pounds after starting WW 4 weeks ago I’ve lost almost 15 pounds

I like that the food is equated to points. It’s easier to me than calories. Plus fruits, veggies, eggs and chicken give you the opportunity to eat more if you’re hungry where in a calorie based program they would run up your numbers for the day. That’s my opinion. Good luck to you!

For me- the $20 a month is worth every penny I have spent in the 14 months I have been doing WW, online only. There is a leader available to answer any concerns or questions I may have 24/7. The chat rooms are tremendous for sharing ideas, triumphs, fails and just general things in life. I can go to a room for my specific age or weight or goal or fitness group-everyone is basically following the same thing so I feel like I have a real team of support- and that has been very helpful in my journey- I am an inch from goal and then 6 weeks of maintenance and I will achieve lifetime - that is my true goal - so - I guess it comes down to what you want out of your program and how serious you are about losing weight. Best wishes to you in your journey.

I joined WW after trying a lot of the other trackers. I wasn't successful at any of the other ones The main reason is that it was so hard for me to balance carbs, fats, protein and calories. all the time. I am on the purple plan on WW, and the only number I focus on now is 16. My daily total of points. I cannot tell you how many calories I consume. or fat . or carbs. or protein, and I don't care to know. All I know is this plan works for me. (Lost 40 lbs in 4 months)

@manzano18058 I am also on purple love the results. i use most my points for lunch and dinner and snack on zero foods for breakfast. i started May 1st 2020 and lost 7 pounds so far and loving it. the energy I have is amazing.

Because I have a hard time making good choices when I count calories. If I see that I have 400 calories left, I’ll choose the not good for you food. On WW, that food item will be high in points.

I hated spending it to but if you hit goal and stay their for 6 weeks you then become a lifetime member and don’t have to pay as long has you weigh once a month and stay under your goal. I was there after my first many years ago and working to get there again all these years later so I can stop paying

No accountability.

My opinion. not all calories are created equal, and it depends greatly on your body type (thus the 3 different plans ww offers). So, assigning point values to foods takes into consideration far more than calories. A 100 calorie item with 0 fiber will have a higher point value than one with 3g of fiber because your body processes them differently. So, a more well-rounded program, a seemingly endless database of recipes, an accountability tracker, and a community.

One difference is the points act like a budget. The better the food the lower the cost (for the most part). For me the calories were less effective. I could eat a Twinkie easily if I had the points for it. Sorry it’s hard to express my thoughts!

Points take the fat and sugar and protein into consideration rather than just calories, that’s the difference for me.

The accountability is worth every penny to me. The community is priceless. And like everyone else said not all calories are equal. It’s about making better choices for LIFE.

Yah I totally understand that not all calories are created equal. Believe it or not, (embarrassed that Ive ended up where I am now ) I was a very successful Beachbody Coach and not only did I workout daily and understanding nutrition was like second nature. I have known all along what I NEEDED to do but it's like one day I chose not to do it and before I knew it. ‍♀️

For me, counting calories and/or macros was incredibly time consuming and annoying. WW allows me to get great results, keep by sanity by not tracking every single bite, and I still have options if I’m hungry but out of points for the day.

I’ve used my fitness pal and never could lose on a calorie diet. I’m not sure why. I’m Losing on this and eating healthy and I’ll keep at it as long as I am.

Bottom line for me: paying that money every month was a HUGE motivation to lose so I didn’t have to continue doing so!

I tried counting calories and stopped after 2 weeks-tried again and again and for some reason, it just never stuck. Been on ww for 3 months now and don't feel like giving up! It's a very personal decision. If you can lose weight and get to your goals without ww, then do it. But there must have been some reason you wanted to try it, give it a shot and see how it goes!

Really? I didn't join WW for the community. I joined because this is a lifestyle change. If you use another app to count calories, I'm pretty sure you're not going to get the same results. WW has proven to work. I use MyFitnessPal along with WW but this is well worth $20. I'd even pay more.

The WW app is similar to any weight loss/calorie type app. If you want weight loss, you have to track your food. It differs by having three weight loss options where you dont actually count calories. To me, it gives a little more freedom. If you are on a 1200 calorie plan and feel hungry at 7pm and you used up all your calories, you might not have that snack or apple. The zero foods give us options. Weight loss is a mental process. If you feel you can do the same on another app, go for it. I like the WW app with the recipes, articles, chat function, etc.

You have to find what works for you. It is a tracker, but I find it one that works for me. I have done my fitness pal and found the calories don’t work for me. I like the freedom to track and have some fexibility with zero point foods for when I’m hungry and know get to know my body without just seeing calories.
