Quick question: Any suggestions for WW friendly food for someone experiencing some random nausea? I’m having to constantly keep something in my stomach and my “normal” staples aren’t sitting well at all. I’m thinking maybe like crackers that are low point or suggestions like that. Other things I may not be thinking of that would help as well. I know I could take the time and dig around in the app to find my answer but I really don’t feel up to doing so. Any help is appreciated.

Pepperidge Farm Goldfish! You can have 55 fish for 4 points. They spread out through the day very easily. I am sorry that your stomach is bothering you. Ginger tea, hot or chilled helps tummies, too. I hope that you feel better soon!

@beery415 thanks for that tip! I love salty snacks.

@beery415 I had no idea about goldfish! So good to know.

Do you still have your gallbladder?
by (28k points)
@isochronism0 Reeder Ulrich I do.
by (7.7k points)
@jamima35 I had about 6-8 months of random nausea while doing WW, especially after losing weight. I ended up having a gallbladder attack one night after a greasy cheeseburger. Weight loss is a common trigger for gallstones, and nausea is a huge symptom
by (28k points)
@isochronism0 Reeder Ulrich I get mine checked yearly since I had weight loss surgery. It’s relatively common to have gall bladder issues post op. I’m due for labs and an office visit soon so I will make sure to mention it. Thanks for the tip.

@jamima35 no problem! I’m a teacher, so I thought I kept catching mild stomach viruses!

@isochronism0 Reeder Ulrich I got a little quesy a few times.

@freetown42075 I couldn’t find the minis when I ran in for diet ginger ale. I absolutely love the mini ones.

I had a stomach bug and all I could eat was crackers, and a light English muffin with a little spray butter. Also a little diet ginger ale. I would up losing about 10 pounds. Feel better!
by (28k points)
@heartstrings242 stomach bugs suck. I don’t think I have a bug. It doesn’t feel that way.
by (6.2k points)
@jamima35 hope it isn’t coronavirus. Do you have a fever?
by (28k points)
@heartstrings242 lol it’s not. No fever.

I know it sounds weird, but have your tried purple grape juice? I do the sugar free lite grape juice and it gets rid of the nausea. But it has to be only grape juice it can't be mixed with anything. Like cran-grape for example
by (28k points)
@sluggard my godmother used to give this to us mixed with gingerale. Idk why I didn’t think of that. Thank you so much!
by (2k points)
You're welcome. It's one of my weird things. Like if I have a cough or sore throat, I drink pineapple juice. It makes it go away. Like purple grape juice if you have nausea. I do hope you feel better.
by (28k points)
@sluggard I will be heading to get some tomorrow

@sluggard my friend swears by purple grape juice for nausea

If you go with the baby goldfish instead of the regular ones, you can have up to 89 for 4 points.

If you do explore gall bladder there are lists of potential trigger foods, I’ve had mine out and surprisingly apples can be one of the trigger foods
by (28k points)
@dysfunction2836 I’m hoping it’s not my gall bladder. I’m not really up for another abdominal surgery lol
by (1.1k points)
@jamima35 Hopefully not! Good luck! I also wondered if bananas or unsweetened applesauce would be soothing?
by (28k points)
@dysfunction2836 I’m not sure but the idea of bananas right now is just not ok lol
by (1.1k points)
@jamima35 Fair enough! Lol

@tarahtaran look into non alcoholic fatty liver disease
by (1.4k points)
@rubious they’ve checked my liver panels numerous times and they are back to normal. Next week is a stomach scope. The ct showed everything looking normal.

I read that smelling rubbing alcohol can relieve nausea almost instantly. I haven't tried it yet but I get carsick so I was going to put some in my car for road trips.

This is not WW friendly BUT . it might help. It’s peaches in HEAVY SYRUP. The syrup somehow makes the nausea go away. I’ve tried it and it seemed to help. Obviously, don’t try this if you’re diabetic!
by (28k points)
@methylal53000 I cant have sugar so that’s a no go for me.

Mint tea may help the nausea. You may need to see your physician about the nauseous.
by (28k points)
@volition53570 I will if it doesn’t ease off. I don’t want to go in during the pandemic if I can avoid it. But this is day 3.
by (2.2k points)
@jamima35 Some doctors will talk to you and assess on line. I might want to call your physicians nurse and way your options.
by (28k points)
@volition53570 that’s a good idea. I forgot about the nurse hotline. Clearly my brain doesn’t function when I don’t feel well ‍♀️

by (28k points)
@offering I’ve been eating healthy for 3 and a half years now so I hope it hasn’t taken my body this long to get used to it lol
by (1.7k points)
@jamima35 Hmm. is it happening in the morning? ‍♀️
by (28k points)
@offering it’s an on and off thing.

Don’t laugh, but sometimes I go for the baby snacks. The yogurt bites or puffed little snacks. I know gerber makes them but most stores have their own brand too that are just as good. And they are super low in points. Good luck! Hope you find out what’s going on and it’s nothing serious.
by (28k points)
@dann Barnes thank you! Don’t laugh at me either but I know exactly what you’re talking about. I had hamsters and they loved those things

Goldfish crackers. Baby ones are even better. Honestly my nausea is often associated with dehydration. Drink plenty of water. Hope you feel better soon

Go to the store, and pick up some Pepcid AC (Famotidine). Once that kicks in, you should feel way better.

We make crackers out of Josephs Lavish bread. Just cut up w pizza cutter and bake. You can google the recipe. We bake up a whole pkg and store in an airtight bowl. They last, taste great, and are very low in points

I suggest tea, as well. Food replacing food might not be to your advantage.
