I am 79. Started in Aug and have lost 45 lbs. 30 to go. It is slow, but it is working . Track, watch portions. I try to walk every day I can. I have been on blue and like it. Also, the virtual meetings every week really work for me.

Yup. Down 56. 6 lbs since December. My advice is to track everything, be honest with tracking and buy a food scale

Down 40 lbs since January. Still have 30 to go. It works if you follow it.

It works if you follow the plan. Best way to start is download the app. YouTube has a ton of what I eat in a day videos etc. Also you can search the different plans, ww blue, green or purple to see which one works best for you.

I’ve lost 91lbs in the last year. I’m only on online and plan blue.

@krypton meal ideas & go to?
by (5k points)
@chaotic884 I love premier protein drinks, fiber one bars, (most) protein one bars. All are 2pts and very filling. Veges and lean chicken are free on blue so that helps. Beans are too! Even fat free refried beans. We love eating tacos and fajitas. Also we use a lot of seasonings to make up for using less oil when cooking. Smart pop individual popcorn bags are good too. I spray the popcorn with Pam (0pts) and add seasoning.

@krypton Thanks so much! Maybe this will help!

@krypton I need some of your recipes! Also menus. I am such a bad cook!

Yes it works you join whether it's online or at meetings. If you do online they give you an assessment of which plan to go on then you pretty much track everything you eat and drink drink lots of water and walk and exercise as much as you can then you will see if you lose or gain weight

Would you like to be friends on fb

I just finished my first week and it works! I weighed, measured and tracked everything. I lost 7. 2 pounds my first week! Don’t do a complete overhaul of what you are used to eating. Just change up how much you eat Of something you love, find a new way to make things you love, etc. I love pizza but regular frozen pizzas are super pointy so now I make pizza bagels for less points and they are super satisfying. Also, buy a food scale! I use mine everyday.

Blue, online only, down 34 since Oct. Track everything, don't eat too late at night. Breakfast like a king, lunch a prince, dinner a pauper. No more than 1 banana a day. Use your 0 point foods if you're feeling hungry. Walk. Drink water, add flavorings or fruit if you need to or drink flavored club sodas. Have a cheat day occasionally. Don't beat yourself up if you have a bad day, just start fresh the next day and maybe walk more.
by (810 points)
@chaotic884 M Ack Can I drink flavored water too?
by (18.2k points)
@gradygrae yes
by (18.2k points)
Just watch for sugar/calories. There will be points if sugar flavored
by (810 points)
Does Weight Watchers tell you what food to eat or what?
by (18.2k points)
@gradygrae no. They have recipe suggestions. I eat normally, just portions. They do tell you which are 0 point foods on the plan you choose. If you do online you type in what you want to eat and it tells you the point value on it. You can also scan prepackaged things at the grocery store to get the point value.
by (18.2k points)
The app also has a recipe builder that will tell you your points per serving
by (810 points)
How many points do you get on the blue plan?
by (18.2k points)
@gradygrae each person is different. Depends on age, height, weight, how much you want to lose

Sugar free cordial! I drink 2 litres a day but couldn't if just water.
by (810 points)
@shrike What's that?
by (3.8k points)
@gradygrae not sure how to describe! I'm in the UK. We call it cordial or squash. You dilute it. Have you got anything like that?
by (810 points)
@shrike oh. Nope we dont have anything like that.
by (810 points)
I was thinking about getting me a juicer tho.
by (3.8k points)
@gradygrae beware of juicing on ww! You have to count as points. But not if you eat the fruit itself. Sorry my suggestion was completely unhelpful! But it really does work. I lost 20lbs since Feb. You can do it!

It’s so weird to me that some people don’t like water. I can drink a gallon a day easily. Sometimes I put the Mio/crystal light drops in it but I just prefer water.
by (120 points)
@biological my oldest sister if I remember correctly, doesn't like water either. I can drink a liter every hour all day long. I put nothing in my water either. I buy my water in gallon jugs and drink a gallon in about 2 or 3 days, depends on if I'm drinking water somewhere else lol. I do hate peeing so much all day lol can't have my cake and eat it too lol.

The plan works well as long as you track and make good healthy choices. Try adding some fruit to your water. I like lemon but when I want something different I’ve tried apples, strawberries and several others very refreshing.

Everyday is a new fresh start. We all get into that frame of mind at one point or another. I reread the post I share with other people that are just starting out or need refocusing when I need to refocus myself. Maybe something on this will help you. The good thing is it is a new day! Today you start fresh. Today is your first day! Welcome to WW! Here are some basic tips TRACK every lick, bite, and taste. The program does not work if you don't track. You can lie to the tracker but your body knows what it ate. MEASURE breakout the measuring spoons, cups and the food scale. Don't eyeball it you will be wrong. EXERCISE find something you love. You won't do if you hate it. I personally like walking, dancing when the weather says don't walk, and cardio-drumming. I do cardio-drumming from YouTube videos. Nothing is more satisfying than hitting things with sticks. If you need to start easy try marching in front of the TV during commercials and then build yourself up to a whole show. MEAL PREP I always keep a big bin of chopped onions, a big bin of chopped bell peppers, and a big bin of chunks of cooked chicken breast. I also have staples like cucumbers, tomatoes, spinach, pasta, laughing cow triangle cheese, olive oil farro, tzatziki sauce, garlic, eggs, apples, oranges, bananas, berries, whatever is in season. This way when I am hungry I have healthy choices. Breakfast omlette throw together garlic, onions, peppers, eggs and then fold it over a cut up wedge of laughing cow cheese. For lunch a very easy tzatziki chicken. Chicken, bell pepper, onions, cucumber, tomatoes. Toss it with tzatziki sauce. You can put it on a pita, eat it without the pita, or what I like to do is RIP up half a pita and mix it in after the tzatziki is mixed in. For dinner maybe a salad with the spinach, onions, peppers, chicken. Etc. Maybe pasta or rice with anything on the list. The most important tip is KINDNESS be as nice to yourself as you are to others. When you are giving your self negative back talk, ask yourself if that is how you would speak to a friend and give yourself a break. I almost forgot. zero points does not mean zero calories. For instance, a banana is zero points but if you over banana you are gonna get yourself into trouble. EAT you need to eat within 10 below and 5 above your points level. If consistently under eat your body thinks there is a famine and holds on to every ounce of weight it can until the famine is over. Under eating and over exercising is a bad combo. If you stick to 5 below and 5 above it works better. for me at least. You are not alone in this. A lot of us join with that "last resort" mentality. But don't think that way. Take a nice before picture with a big smile because today is the day your life changed for the better. You are gonna get healthy, you are gonna be fit. You are gonna breathe better. You just need to give it some time. This is a slow process but it is a process that works. I'm excited for you taking this big step towards a healthier life. You might want to sit down and write yourself a love letter stating why you joined WW and what your long term goals are, how you will accomplish them (small term goals) and what you will be able to accomplish when you get there! I personally would like to be able to get up off the floor without having to hoist myself up on the couch like I am climbing Mount Everest. That is one of the things future me will be able to do. Last tip. don't hang out in the kitchen. Eat there, cook there, clean the dishes. But if it isn't kitchen related get out of there it is too tempting. Also do not compare your journey to anyone else's. We are all different. We all have different metabolisms. So mind your own journey and don't worry that someone else lost more that week. It won't help your progress.

I used my first 2 weeks "practicing". I put down points to see where I actually ate, read through recipes (both WW and Pinterest) then I committed myself. Have lost 30 pounds since the end of January. I haven't removed any foods from my diet, but plan accordingly. I have not had many sweets, but still enjoy them occasionally. For me, eating "real food" keeps me going, because I am not giving up anything. It is looking at life and food differently. Good luck

I always schedule out my meals ahead of time and I look at ww recipes and see what one I will eat and add to my favorites might mix up the ingredients a little if I do that I right down how much of everything I put in it then I go to create recipe I drink tons of water but have to have flavoring it in I go buy those flavoring packets all sugar free ones or I buy the carbonated water or the ice bottle that are flavored a lot of it is about portion controlling and eating more fruits and vegetables you like normally I have a fruit with breakfast a fruit and or vegetables for lunch and a vegetable for dinner always track everything before you eat it to see if it fits in your points and yes it works since April I have lose 14 lbs and still going I still eat what I want but I’m moderation and always always make sure it fits in your points I also have started ordering from built bar so when I need a fast breakfast or craving chocolate I eat one of those and only 3-4 points a bar
