So my biggest struggle has always been breakfast. I'm not a huge breakfast person for 2 reasons, 1) I dont really like a lot of the breakfast foods, i. e. eggs, avocado, bacon, etc. (I'm weird, I know ) 2) I am up & out the door early for work, so I don't really have time to make a proper breakfast anyways. Was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on some quick & easy breakfast ideas?

Premier protein mixed with coffee

This is my breakfast EVERY day
by (900 points)
@surfperchnie Grevers I like to make a pot and put it in the refrigerator and make iced coffee with it. Something about putting it in the refrigerator over night makes the coffee flavor even better! Have you tried the cafe latte premier shake yet?
by (490 points)
I totally make iced coffee as well and use the premier protein. I usually do decaf because I like it as a treat at night. No I haven't seen the cafe latte one yet in Canada.
by (900 points)
@surfperchnie Grevers I cant find it here in Va in stores but it’s on amazon. I think I’ll be ordering it soon but it has caffeine in it.
by (490 points)
Just looked on amazon. ca. apparently Canada is in the boonies because we can't get it lol

Skip it . Intermittent Fasting is tremendously beneficial. If you're not hungry, forcing yourself to eat is not helpful.

@surfperch Please tell me more about this Intermittent Fasting PLEASE!

I'd recommend two books: Delay, Don't Deny (Gin Stephens) and The Obesity Code (Jason Fung). Both outline the medical background very well. The principle is simple: Don't eat. I fast 16 hours and eat during the remaining 8-hour window. Some do 18-hour or more, but for now, 16:8 works well. I started with 13-hour fasts and moved to 14 quickly. It's helped curb my late-night snacking for sure!

I’m a fan of smoothies. I like Garden of Life Meal Replacement. I use almond milk and frozen fruit. Just throw it in a blender for a few minutes. Or eat something that isn’t considered breakfast food.

I eat breakfast in the car. These are some of the items i may grab. boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit (already in baggies or banana), nuts, string cheese, rolled lunch meat (already in baggies), cut up veggies (cuke, carrots, celery, etc), cottage cheese, protein bar, toast an english muffin and eat in car, cheese & cracker. U can eat anything at any time. Doesnt have to be breakfast food at breakfast time. Your body doesnt care. It just wants nutrition.

Microwave muffins. There's eggs in them but you don't taste them. Spray a good size coffee mug with Pam. Mix 1 egg, 1/2 cup quick oatmeal, 1/2 cup applesauce. Microwave for 4 1/2 minutes. We use sugar free blueberry applesauce and add frozen blueberries. Can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen.

I'm the same way! I usually take a packet of oatmeal and a bowl with me to work and some fruit its 4 to 5 points depending on the oatmeal & takes 2 minutes, other ideas are bagel thin breakfast sandwiches (no eggs I dont like them either )so I use deli meat like ham and a slice of velveeta cheese and I microwave the whole sandwich about 15 seconds or less or I get the smart ones potatoes and brocoli or I can eat their scrambled eggs with bacon bits and potatoes meal. I made a recipe for a low point cereal but it isn't super quick to make

I dont usually eat "breakfast" foods, if I do it's instant oatmeal with a banana added or pomegranate seeds. I do things like a BLT, Turkey sandwich, veggie sandwich on sandwich thins, wontons with apple slices on the side which is so good because I love the sweet and salty contrast. maybe leftovers from the prior nights dinner, one of my favorites is a bagel thin with cream cheese and the buffalo tuna packet spread on it.
