Anyone try these?  I know having an exposed wire is bad for some but just curious if anyone had any experience with this and the basic ARLO cameras.Anyone try these? I have all 4 my cameras on charging cables n haven't had problem with them running on the arlo pro 2

@choke this is for the preexisting owners with the basic camera setup with non-rechargeable batteries.

@hornblende4 I had one that wasn’t under some kind of cover, when it rained it stopped charging. After messing with it a while I found out that the cable was still good and the plug in adapter went bad so I assumed that it got wet. I rerouted my cable and used a iPhone plug adapter and plugged it where it wouldn’t get wet and it has been working fine since. Hope this helps.

@mean228 yes definitely. I got my parents their first Arlo system and I am looking for something like this.

Been using one of these on an arlo camera on back porch, working good for a year now.

I have a flat cable like that running out my window. It’s flat enough to allow the window to close, and it can be plugged in inside. The cable that is outside is in some cable channel that is a close color to my brick color.

USB= waterproof?!?. my guess is no.
by (6.5k points)
@kinescope it plugs inside the Arlo for the basic cameras

@hornblende4 whats your point? it still uses a USB port in the power plugin. I want to be able plug it into a power outlet outside. With that solution I will fry my setup after the first rainfall.

@kinescope not trying to be a dick but just to show you how it’s plugged in. I don’t know your situation or your setup I was asking in my post if anyone used it.

My Arlo cameras don’t have the little cover to open the port. Anyone know how to get to the port on one?

@outgroup this is similar to the one I posted but different brand.

@hornblende4 yes I have the original Arlo cameras as well. I’ve had them for 4 ish years I think. I am either going to get the solar panels for them or get newer Arlo cameras or maybe the eufy cameras. Either way $$ will be spent

@outgroup I went with the Arlo pro 3 and Arlo solar panels. Best decision I made. The Arlo HD are my parents and I am leaning towards the Solar panels!
