Before Arlo Smart they lasted 35-40 days.

It shouldn't affect battery life as Arlo Smart is only a process that occurs on the servers. It analyzes video sent to the servers. The problem most people have is they think Arlo Smart won't allow detection outside activity zones or of moving trees etc. The PIR sensor will still trigger a recording and the recording will get sent to the cloud and discarded rather than sent to your library. Did you reposition your camera after enabling Arlo Smart?
