ARLO FAMILY!  I am gaining feedback about solar panels.ARLO FAMILY! I am gaining feedback about solar panels. I've got a few cameras needing an external source, but no outlet run. What's your pros and cons of the solar panels? Thanks!

Cons if its cloudy they dont really work.

I have a solar panel on a Pro 2. Haven't had to touch the camera in 2 years. The panel charges in relatively low light but it is humongous and not discrete at all. Downside compared to AC power is that you don't get the Arlo Foresight 3 seconds of pre-recording or activity zones outside of Arlo Smart

@terrie Thanksng I tried to have my Alro pro 3 camera on Ac power and it seems to act up. It doesn’t charge no more then 92% and it won’t work on motion. The blue Led light starts rapidly blink every 2-3 seconds

Both mine Arlo solar panels are working like champs. I bought 3 Wasserstein solar panels for my parents Arlo basics and they stay charged 100% daily even when it’s over cast.

I have 3 external arlo pro cameras running on solar panels and staying 100% charge at the moment. In the winter they dont charge quite so much due to the shorter days. Dont find clouds stop charge with mine, it's more the amount of daylight hours. I would recommend them every time, great investment if you dont want to be up and down ladders!

I've got 2 of the Arlo solar panels and then top up charger to 100% daily. I'll be interested to see how they work through the uk winter.

I have three chargers on ultras. They mostly work but randomly don’t. They are expensive imo.

I have 4 Pro2s on AC Power, only one is on an ARLO charger. The other 3 are Wasserstien. I have had no issues with these cameras.

I would love the functionality of a solar panel for my Arlo cameras but they are just too big for my personal taste. I love the clean no wire look.
