It's me asking for help again. I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. Is it possible to only record and get notifications in the colored boxes? I dont need to record every vehicle that travels my road but do need recordings of both boxes.
It's me asking for help again.

No expert, do you have it hooked to power. I believe you have to for the fields to work.

@stout1 no I do not. Is that an option I can do?
by (2k points)
That is an option. It should cover that in the directions. Unfortunately I’m not the best person to ask. Mine are all setup just to battery.

@austronesia I think the activity zones only affect the number of alerts you receive. Everything is recorded regardless.

@priebe ok thank you.

If you only want to get notifications in the activtiy boxes you have to be plugged into AC power

The Arlo requirement for it to be hooked up to a powersource is odd. Wonder if it's a software issue they gave up on or what.

@calves75 no change. Its because of power drain consistently looking into the activity zones.

Yes it’s possible, I use the smart features a lot, but it seems that your problem is that your camera it’s not leveled with in the street, so your blue box it’s going to pick up every top of the car that pass in the street

@loupgarou858 thanks I've adjusted the blue box some.

It looks like the top of the cars will still trigger the "Brandy" one. Watch a car go past to make sure it does not cross that field.

Yes that's the way it should work but based on that Camera angle though it will still detect side by side motion of the street and kill your battery quicker but you won't get notifications or recordings of the street. I personally don't use activity zones because once I change the battery I have to adjust the zone each time because the boxes aren't aligned after remounting my camera.

@peroxidize Villareal battery saver is what I'm trying to do and be able to monitor my drive and the neighbors who I take care of. And ugh that sucks on battery change and boxes not realigning.

@austronesia Yeah mine are pointed at the street so I set the notification to off since I have a camera aimed at my porch as well as the doorbell.

I have it setup to only record the boxed areas but I keep getting the road traffic. I have adjusted the blue box some.

I gave up on activity zones, they were more trouble than they were worth. I do have the paid subscription though so just choose to turn notifications off for vehicles. It records them but I don't get notified which is fine. My batteries have gone from lasting a couple of weeks to a couple of months

I can't imagine any vehicles not crossing into the blue box

Activity zones work with either ac power, or without ac power, but with subscription. But yes, original box would be picking up vehicles every single time. But as indicated, you could turn off car alerts, if subscription.
