Question

I am wanting to buy a house but I am in need of a bigger car due to my daughters medical needs. I’ve purchased a house before and I remember closing taking forever. has anyone purchased a car immediately after buying a house? How soon? Edit: I’m aware of waiting until after closing. My question is how soon after closing did you purchase a car if you did.

My husband and I just bought our house and one of the things they were adamant about is not acquiring anymore debt until after closing.

We closed on our house the very end of March and bought our car early-mid May

But definitely wait until after. Don’t bring on any new debt until after you’ve closed and have the keys!

A few years ago, we closed on our house June 27th, and bought our car July 20th. It wasn’t ideal but we didn’t have a choice. The finance guy at the dealership actually said it’s really common for people to buy a house and then immediately buy a car right after.

Bought a house 10/30/2009 Bought a car 11/10/2009 Once the closing is done & finalized, you are clear.
