Hi everyone.  I need your guys help.Hi everyone. I need your guys help. We are planning on going to Disneyland. Our details are: -Driving from Phoenix to CA -It will be a quick trip -Only three days two nights or maybe less. -We are in a very tight budget $3, 000 dls -Family of 5 (2 kids-3 adults) -Spend at least one whole day at Disneyland -We would like to stay at a hotel that is at walking distance from the park (so we will save money with parking fees) -We want to stay at a hotel for at least two nights so we can rest and then come back. It's our first time going to Disneyland! ☺ Do you guys think this can be done? Any suggestions an how to make this happened? Anything will be greatly appreciated. I am researching but my brain is all over the place. I know that your suggestions will make my life easier. Thank you once again! P. S. If I don't reply it's because I will be sleeping or at work.

I’m a travel agent, it is doable if you’re careful! Use a Red Card from Target to stock up on Disneyland gift cards, they’re good for purchases. l and you save 5% Share meals if you eat in park. Get your tickets now, price increases have been crazy

Food is crazy expensive at the park so be sure to pack plenty of snacks. Maybe even go to the grocery store and buy bread and peanut butter and bring sandwiches so you don’t have to eat every meal in the park. And talk to the family about souvenirs. If you can forgo those, you can save a ton of money. Have a wonderful time!

We’ve done 2 short trips recently. Biggest thing you can control is food (you can bring snacks and meals in a soft sided cooler into the park) and souvenirs. I’d get both before you go. The variety of hotels nearby is great, choosing a no frills one nearby should be easy if it’s not a popular season. Tickets are expensive, but I would look at getting them through target with red debit card for 5% off (or I do amazon with amazon card).

Disneyland for 2 days for $3k? Easy, honestly. Most good neighbor hotels are walking distance.

I went last June for the very first time, 4 adults and 2 kids and stayed on Disneyland property for 3 nights, park hopper, Max Pass and we bounced between both parks for 3 days tickets and it cost me $4500 so yours with your budget is definitely doable! We didn’t do the extravagant meals but we were in the park all day.

Super doable. Just looked for hotels within walking distance: Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel ($92 a night) (that was a quick skim so probably cheaper places) 2 day tickets (1 park per day is cheapest): rounded up to $1. 2k. (Theres also deals on the site right now but really depends on your exact dates) So that’s about 1. 4/5k down so you have 1. 5k to work with in terms of gas, food and souvenirs. Buy snacks outside the park to take in

@dorton The majestic garden also has a free shuttle. We went a few weeks ago and it was awesome! We also set a Walmart delivery to our hotel. We take uncrustables to the park for our kids and lots of other snacks. You can also ask for free ice water at any food place.

It’s possible. They have a promo for kids through may I believe- $67 per day per kid for 3 days. Off site we at the Hilton usually. Most places will charge for parking. Have a blast !

Parking is only $25. Much cheaper than a nearby hotel. My friend and i were just there in October.

We were there in June and stayed at the Desert Palms. It is very clean and affordable. Free breakfast. They have some suite type rooms also. It is in a convenient area within walking distance to Disneyland. Across street from a CVS and Walgreens. Walking distannce to the Garden Walk where there are a lot of restaurants also. I would stay there again.

I will be going in 2 weeks. We stay at an Airbnb even though it’s not walking distance it’s cheaper than a hotel for my large family anyways. We will eat breakfast at the house. Pack a lunch, and take snacks. We will have dinner at Disneyland. We will do minimum souvenirs but the kids don’t mind they are having so much fun. This is what we have done in the past as well and it works out.

@housen27 I will look into Airbnb maybe we can stay one day extra this way and visit the beach or something. Thank you!

@kendrickkendricks FYI ALL Airbnb’s are negotiable. Send them a message tell them you have found rates xyz will they match or beat them and you’ll book with them-

Try the hotel right across The street from main entrance. Think it’s a best western maybe. They have continental free bfast and pull out couches. McDonald’s is right down the street.

Stay at hotel that’s serves breakfast if not provide you own, choose to eat in park for lunch or dinner and the other outside the park. That will help save of meal cost. Take your own water and snacks. There’s a food Max and target near by where u can get drinks/ snacks. Also target has many Disney items cheaper than in park like clothes, autograph books/ pens, ears etc.

We’ve tried lots of good neighbour hotels across the street, we fly in so I’m not too sure on the rates to park, but the Desert Inn, Tropicana Inn and Del Sol are all great little hotels within 5-10 minute walking distance. You can also bring in all of your own food! So we always go to target and get breakfast if staying at a hotel that doesn’t have, and pack snacks and even lunches to bring to the park! It saves a lot of money!

We always do the Best Westerns across the street- close and super easy walk with free, good breakfast. We go a few times a year and always stay acoss the street. We have no kids but you fill up on breakfast and do a nice afternoon rest and swim before heading out to the parks for the evening-and plenty of food options outside of the park. Park hopper will always add more but worth it as you can easily hop back and forth between the two parks- but it's a good way to save if you do single park tix. Bring a water bottle to refill- at 4. 50 a pop it can add up

Thank you everyone! I was feeling very discouraged because doing some very bad research it was adding up to $4, 500! But know with all of your help. I'll start doing my research more efficiently. Now I am excited, and just maybe we will end up not using all the money. Thats even a plus for us. I just can wait to see my kids faces when we get there! This is their dream place! (Mine too) Can't wait! ☺☺☺

I like Desert Inn and Suites. We’re passholders and every time we go we (with the exception of our holiday trip with my parents and siblings) we stay there and have never had any problems.

I used getaway. com for our hotels, get a neighboring hotel that offers free parking and free breakfast and a free shuttle. Join a disneyland facebook group so you can get tips like doing rope drop, max pass, etc. I think 1 day in Disneyland is very little time but I also wouldn't do 2 days in a row because all the walking involved, so maybe wait until you have more time? Also check the calendar on Disneyland's website for crowd expectations, spring break can start as early as in 2 weeks.

Will do at least one of the dinner packages so youll be have more access/nice view if you want to see Fantasmic for example with good seating and not to wait in line like in general. have fun!

I second using getawaytoday. com, they are partners with Disney. You can get good hotels with free nights and tickets that are maybe a few dollars cheaper. I did 2 1/2 days with my niece and nephews over Thanksgiving. There’s a bit of walking do it’s easier if your kids are older but it can be done and it can be fun.
