If your current rods arent long enough keep in mind you want something sturdy not cheap. Curtains are heavy and the farther the rod has to go the stronger you want the rod to be

@octodecimo yes I left them at the old house. I need all new ones. Just don’t want to pay $50 for each one.
by (3.1k points)
@carrion expect to pay $20-40 or more for decent ones. It's expensive but do the areas that need the privacy first, theres no rush to it :)

We used bed bath and beyond. They always have 20% off coupons too. A little pricer but we couldn't find them long enough anywhere else.

I have a 110 inch picture window in my dining room and the longest standard rod wasn’t long enough. So I got a 1” dowel, spray painted it, and used it as an extension in the middle. Works great! And if you find a reasonably priced one that you don’t like the finish if, you can easily spray paint the rod.

People are saying Home Goods but is that open now? Or maybe their website? I would try Target or JCPenny's websites or Target in store.

We purchased closet rods from Lowe's and a couple of finials for the ends. We have 10' windows in our living room and bedroom. The cost of a traditional curtain rod compared to a simple diy was huge. We saved a lot of money! Lowe's cut them for us, we just needed a drill to put the finials on and to hang the brackets. We have had those in our house for 16 years now!

Buy wood rods from home depot or lowes Lowe’s then paint them what ever color you want. Lowes Lowe’s has some nice decrotive decorative wooden ends for them also. You can have them cut to size also

Are you not on lockdown right now? In my state ( California) your options would be target or Walmart  congratulations on the new house

@salto Busby yes. I’m a vendor so unfortunately I’m out in grocery stores everyday. I may check Walmart since I have to be in there anyways.

I bought a long dowel large one had it cut at Lowe’s and not the finale’s on the end just the wooden ones painted them and put the curtains up. You can get the wooden holders at target or Lowe’s too. So for like total $15. 00 you have everything except the black paint for the center dowel. Which I am sure they could sale you cheap!
