Join credit sesame and follow their advice. it’s free and I have followed it for the last 2 1/2 years and my score went from 440 to 684 and I just qualified to purchase a house! So proud of myself!

Secured credit cards used responsibly. Self lender. Pay off bad debts less than 2 years old off before the 2 year mark.

@overabound3 yw. Just getting secured cards pulled my score up about 60 points in 6 months out of the low 500s. Fingerhut is really easy to qualify for too.

I also found out that your credit is ran 2 times a month usually by different creditors. And reported at different times. And if you charge something right before they check your credit, it may look like you owe so much. Even if you were planning on paying it off in say 2 weeks. Also, I charged a lot at Christmas knowing I was paying it off by the end of January and it killed my credit Bc of debt to credit ratio. lesson learned!
