I hadn't have the money to pay 97$ for Lexington Law to help fight my credit score -- I'm told all the time I can raise it myself. But I don't understand what to do with the information in looking at. ✖️It says: Average age of credit is poor, on-time payments is poor and derogatory marks are poor. ❓How can I go about raising my score? Do I just need a new card and pay on time payments? What about the derogatory marks? I'm a single mom and it's impossible to get an apartment with my score so low Thanks in advance!

Pay on time Do not get a new card that will go against your effort. It already seems many of your debtors are newer.

Get a secured loan or credit card through a credit union. They are great for building credit.

Look up the credit warriors handbook in google! I’ve raised my score over 120 points since March 2019

There is a Facebook page called Road To 750+. It's a page that started from a woman similar to Kumiko. She wanted to fix her credit quickly and found legal ways of doing it fast. No gimicks either. Check it out.

Autopay, don't close old cards as you pay them off, focus on paying off those delinquent bills

Time. It will take 24mo for late payments to stop affecting your score. Make sure to pay on time. Handle the collections. Once time has passed it will improve. Getting new credit will not help you. (Possibly a secured card 12mo down the line)

A new card will lower your score, because it'll lower the already poor aging. If you want to increase the average age, close a NEWER card, which will make the average age hire.

What is on your credit report? Any open accounts need to be paid on time. Any accounts that were closed with a balance or in collections need to be taken care of. Until you have a handle on those I wouldn’t try to open new accounts. If your score is really low you may be denied for the new account and the inquiry from that new company can ding your score for nothing.

When I opened up a card with the credit union, it increased my score. I did open up other cards, my score jumped by 100. But, then I put more debt on my credit. It's still increasing, but it's stressful. Find a debt/credit score stimulator. That will help.
