We separate our Out to Eat funds and Groceries/Consumables funds. We put away $200/ month or $100 per paycheck for our family of 8. Our grocery/consumables budget is much much higher!

I should mention, our spending on out to eat had been higher in the past and we decided we wanted to cut that down.

$100 every two weeks. That gives us $50/week which equals one meal out. We have one kid in hockey and another in gymnastics so we’re always on the road between practices, games and competitions.

I dropped mine to $250 after realizing I was averaging over $800/month. My first month at this budgeted amount was great, spent just $68.

Family of 4. We dont have an "eating out" envelope. If we do go out it comes from our "fun" or "food" envelope.

We take it out of food, misc or fun budget depends on how it rolls in those budgets. Honestly it’s just the kids and I, hubby hates to eat out goes all the time with his work for lunch.

$30/wk for family of 4. We have to be strategic about it. No beverages (unless free with kids meal), no apps/desserts. If we want to go someplace more expensive we skip going out for a week and roll the funds over. Our family has been doing this for years; they all know it’s a treat so it’s either we stick within the budget or don’t go at all.

Family of 6- kids ages 6-12 years old. I allot $60 a month and we decided if we want to go out to a restaurant once, or have pizza twice. Not a big eating out budget, but it’s so expensive to take a family of 6 out to eat!

We're a family of four but 1 is too little to eat and the other is almost 2. We've been back with eating out because we literally live maybe 100ft from a restaurant and it's easy on the days that the baby won't let me put him down but we allot 150/month for "fun" which includes eating out

Ok everyone I am doing my feb budget and noticing that the second and third week of the month I will be stort of a bill and groceries for the week.but the first and and 4th week I have extra money and the bills can't be moved sooo I was thinking for the paying the 2 small bills that don't fit in second paycheck with paycheck 1 and just pay early (if money is left hubby WILL spend it) and for third week using my credit card to cover groceries and last bill then paying it off on the fourth week?
