My 2020 Savings Challenge is using what I've already bought! For instance I will by lotions and potions and think I will use them and then a month later stick them in the closet to never be used again. I've done this with lotion, cleaning supplies, make-up, candles, mouthwash, and so on. So this year I'm determined to use them up! This is a win-win situation. 1. I'm actually using the items my money already bought so I'm getting my money out of the items 2. I will declutter my house by removing all the excess stuff that I have but didn't use. Right now I'm using the DR snowball debt method where you use up the items that is closest to being finished first. I figure I will have great skin, white teeth, and a clean house come 2021! What are your unique personal savings challenges?

If you organize your storage closets with baskets and labels it will help you keep organized to see what you have.

I stocked up my house with food and household supplies for when I'm on maternity leave. my cabinets are getting bare so it looks like I'm going to have to go into my storage and start emptying my stockpile. I have a TON of bath and body works stuff that I bought years ago and still need to use up. This challenge sounds like a good idea!

I finally decided to organize under the bathroom sink in both bathrooms. I had no idea how much "stuff" we actually had. We are definitely good on shampoo, conditioner, body wash and deodorant  probably enough to last us until the end of the year. Yikes! Also recently organized the small closet in the laundry room. Definitely easier to keep track of the tp, paper towels and detergent inventory. Can't wait to tackle the rest of the closets and storage areas.

@foxing I’m in the same boat and doing the same thing! I have a challenge going that I can’t buy any makeup, lotions, face products, hair products until I’ve used up everything I already have.

I almost got sucked into buying more body wash yesterday because it was "a good deal" but stopped myself. I saved $10. 99 by not buying it!

Im doing the same. I’ve got so much stuff in the bathroom cabinets. Also trying not to buy things unless it is replacing something we need but that has gotten worn out.

That’s a great idea! I’m guilty of hoarding beauty stuff too! I’m adding de-cluttering to my list of Saving challenges for this year

I did this a few years ago. With all of the face, body, and hair care products I had you would have thought I was the most beautiful woman in the world . I now limit myself to one in use and one spare after using up what I had. I am now the same with laundry and cleaning products. ❤️

This is also my goal for this year. So far I am doing well. I plan to use the make up I have and will buy very little this year, I am only buying under garment and maybe a couple pairs of pants all other clothing will be garage sale or use stores, I don’t buy groceries to stock pile only for about 2 weeks at a time no more expiring dates on food. No purchase on shoes, purses, lotions, perfumes or jewelry in 2020 for me! Good luck with your goals!

@cran609 @encarnalize Olson yes, I need to do the same goal! There is absolutely nothing I need but I love to buy and spendthankful for TBM I’m changing my ways and educating my teenagers at the same time

I'm doing the same as I want to head towards more plastic free, low waste solutions but like you I love buying cosmetics and toiletries!

I'm doing the same! I used to get Ipsy, FabFitFun and buy whatever my favorite make up YouTube influencer said was good drugstore make up. I now have more beauty products than I could use in a lifetime. I've tossed expired products and have resolved to use up what I have before I can buy anything new.

To become a rewards member of everywhere I shop. To religiously scan my receipts in Fetch. To pay off my cc before the end of this year.

I have a ton of beauty products I still need to go through. You are right -- definitely start using stuff already bought!
