Yes, I currently have 188 rolls of toilet paper and I live by myself.  Find stuff on sale and then stack coupons on top of them!

I coupon too  I don’t do it as often as I should tho. But I did just get 18 boxes of eggo pancakes for a total of $2. 19 lol

@soissons95 Heck yeah girl! Do you have a Dollar General near you!?
by (1.2k points)
Yes i just recently discovered couponing there! I’ve done a couple digital coupon only deals for laundry detergent and such but since Christmas money has been tight so couponing has gone on the back burner

@soissons95 DG is where I do all of my couponing! Gain is almost ALWAYS on sale, so don’t coupon on it unless you need a filler. Focus on the other necessities. I always make sure I spend the $25 on Saturday’s, then I use the Saturday coupon, plus other DG coupons and I can usually get my total around $15-18.

Wow that’s good to know! I do most of my couponing at Publix but I am going to start keeping an eye on dollar general deals. Thanks girl!
by (5.5k points)
@soissons95 Always keep an eye on them, but just know you don’t have to go every week. If you see toilet paper or paper towels on sale, go as soon as they open and take it all.
by (1.2k points)
The best part is I have one literally a quarter of a mile away from me and it’s ALWAYS packed well a new one opened a Mile and a half from my house and it’s hidden in a plaza where no one goes lol every single time I’ve been in there I am the only one in there and everything is fully stocked  My hidden gem when I do coupon lol

When I used to get a big return. I took a bit and did something that I would not normally be able to with my kids and for myself. then I would stock up on a lot of things!

Im doing the same thing, ive went into each room of our house and made lists by room, i save a little bit of money cause i buy the store brand of the store i work at so i get a discount on those items
by (1.2k points)
That’s a great idea I also do some couponing and take advantage of targets gift card deals such as buy 4 of an item and get a $10 gift card. Those deals come around pretty frequently and some good deals pop up for household items!

No but one year when I was a single mom I got 12-$200 gift cards from the grocery store. Helped with groceries when money was tight

I've done this in years past. I still have diapers from 2 years ago that we are still using. I did this with other non-perishable items too. Helps a ton!

All these things I either got free or next to free using coupons. Haven’t had to buy all these in 2yrs. But I got my refund and I used it to fund my EF
by (1.2k points)
I coupon too but I don’t do it as much as I should. I didn’t just get 18 boxes of eggo pancakes for a total of $2. 19 lol

@soissons95 girl you can do it! That’s a was a great haul. Just try to build up your stock pile slowly

I like the idea, but I would wait until there’s a good sale or a coupon. as much as you may save throughout the year by not buying them then you may pay more now by stocking up.

We stock up on deodorant, body wash, tooth paste, brushes (hair and tooth), paper towels, light bulbs etc. at the Dollar tree and get trash bags, tp, laundry soap etc @ walmart and dollar general. Wont need laundry soap for a while my in laws just gave us a 5 gallon bucket they just bought from a fundraiser.

Don’t forget to use coupons! Even more savings
by (840 points)
@jacobine I second the coupons! Most of this was essentially free!
by (1.8k points)
@jacobine and @cave16 yes coupons ❤ love this
by (1.7k points)
I miss couponing. In NJ our deals aren't as good as out of state. And they just took away being able to use paper coupons and digital together. I still have detergent from 2 years ago and haven't bought a bottle since !
by (1.7k points)
@cave16 we have a lot in common I see! VSG ❤️.

We actually decided to do this too. I wanted to get another fridge, but we decided on deep freezer and looking into a cow or serious meat sales and freezing. Plus from watching Jordan Page I've learned you can freeze EVERYTHING!

I’m thinking about stocking my freezer again. Some of our local butchers offer meat bundles, already wrapped for the freezer. I want to meal plan off of that.
