Any recommendations on how to exclude people with bad credit? Running ads for a smart home security company and getting very good CPL, but not so good cost per sales due to many people signing the contract and then failing credit.

Get a client for credit repair and send them credit repair referrals for a fee per lead. Have this offset your ad costs for the security and keep plowing away. *keep in contact with the credit guy, when folks get their credit cleaned send the leads to a mortgage guy and a realtor. Pretty soon your “excluded” will make you more money than your security sales.

There's an interest for "bad credit", have you tried excluding that? You can also exclude everyone who's renting.

Any specific interests you exclude to exclude renters?

@falchion thanks for that! just out of curiosity, why exclude down payment?

Cuz I was targetting people for refinancing. I wasn't running an ad for home security. If I were you, I would still exclude downpayment because people in that interest is still saving up for downpayment, which means, not a homeowner

I would exclude anyone who follows any payday loans, or loan brands for people with bad credit. Also, put "Upon Approved Credit" into your ad copy to deter unqualified candidates.
