I’ve just had two HUGE troughs made for my borders but need to know what’s best to use at bottom before soil goes in? I have some old broken bricks I’ve been using in small pots but these are 2ft deep and very long! All ideas welcome. I’ll be planting shrubs and climbers in them.

I saw someone suggest empty plastic bottles that you could then perhaps fill with other recycling?

@randall do you keep the kids in, so they’re sealed with air?
