Or if too big (looks big) lay it on its side grab the leaves and push the pot away with your feet

Grab all the leaves together hold the pot with your feet and pull or if you can get help than grab all the leaves and lift the pot and other person hits the top rim of the pot downwards so the pot falls off the rootball on the floor. Last resort- cut the pot.

They are tough as old boots get a saw and cut down and around the sides of the pot. I have done this with a number of plants before without losing one. Better in autumn but won't hurt phormium any time if year.

It's expensive to replace nice garden pots I know I've lost 2 today with the wind put it on its side and yes like @
deprave
says above, treat it like a ketchup bottle

Soak it, then run a long blade around it between plant and tub, then tip it on one side. When it's out, put spade through middle, then again, making a cross, cutting it into 4. Plant up again, I have done that for years. Good luck.

Get it on side move as much soil as you can and see if you can wangle it from pot by holding it at the bottom if not you might have to smash the pot.
