i wouldnt say brilliantly no. This was just as sun was going down, the darker it got the better the picture was.

I did one last year but the brighter the day ( ie sunshine) the more difficult to see the screen and then when it gets lighter in the evening the more hard it is. The moral to this tale is to put it in a dark corner or use a gazebo.
