@yearlong1 but when do you put it down
by (930 points)
@maureen clearly whenever you want and sometimes more than once!
by (160 points)
@maureen , best time to put it down is when you figure out what the 3 dots in the top right are for

You need consistent temperatures of 8-10 degrees Celsius for a few weeks for good germination. No idea on best grass seed, but I'm sure a good garden centre would be able to advise you on that

Don’t forget to fertiliser, grass is a plant like any other and needs feeding.

I’ve always used pony paddock expensive but quick as lightning and even provides you water every night for 2 weeks

Whatever you use do not go for anything that is labelled quick growing. it grows quickly not just when establishing but forever and therfore requires more mowing.

Just check what area you need it for as some areas may require grass that can tolerate shade better than others and lessens the chance of moss developing.

It depends what you use your garden for. I have kids so i needed something hardwearing for mine. I re-seeded last march using seeds from the grass seed store (gss) online. They are also good at giving information as to what seed/grass will be best for your garden.

I've used Poundland seed! We've grown two successful lawns from it and had absolutely no issues

Depends whos going to be using it. A good percentage of rye grass is great for kids and dogs as its tougher than fine grass often used for just to look at lawns! X

@barnaby823 we now have a dog . (:frenchie). so wanted a good grass seed and feeder . I do look after my garden so. kind of dreading what my grass is going to be like .
by (8.3k points)
Frenchie might make mud pies and scorch it if its a girl dog, but theyre unlikely to totally trash it! My Golden Retriever digs big holes in mine! X
