Fork it all over and give it a gd sokeing CU's it needs a good socking but fork it all first close to the first holes all over OK that do it

@katykatya gonna take me a while, I only have a little fork  I did borrow my mum's big one, but the ground was so hard it wasn't going in

Fully rotivate if possible the level and seed

Hire a rotavtor for a day, not expensive at all, get the sods turned over, rake stones out, water it, sow it, and keep re watering it

I only have a few patches, I'm not going to hire a rotivator just for that

Keep watering it every night . You can mix compost with your seed sprinkle it all over grass as well to thicken it if it needs it . X
