Could anyone recommend a good way of getting rid of all the weeds under the stones? I've tryed weed killers but just seems to keep coming through and so time consuming trying to pull up the weeds

There's really no other way than ripping it all up, laying down a bed of sharp sand for drainage, membrane to prevent the weeds coming through then gravel again. There is no point doing anything half arsed with it as it'll just keep happening

Completely agree, this will only stop if you rip it up and start again I'm afraid. I had to hand shovel 3 tons of plum slate to do the same so I feel your pain. Worked brill with thick membrane underneath though. No problems for years after doing it.

White vinegar neat or boiling water on weeds kills them x

Yes boiling water is great for dandelions.

I have same problem as the membrane underneath has gone, ive just ordered glyphosate see if that does anything
