Not a strange question. However most property will have path near wall as soil and plants might affect the footings of the house with roots and soil banked against the house wall might breach the damp course and make house damp but it can be done with the right preventive measures taken and not growing things that might have very invasive roots xx

@olszewski well as long as you are careful with roots and damp against the wall I cannot see why you can’t xx

@athapaskan thank u i was wanting to make it into a veg patch tho someone did say rhubarb wouldnt b great because of roots x

@olszewski I am not sure because it does spread but if you framed it like a raised bed so air can get to wall you theoretically would also be able to control how close the rhubarb spreads towards the house and footings I think- not an expert just where there’s a will there’s a way type of woman xx

I try to always be nice and help people. I don’t like people who put people down for asking something that they don’t know. In these modern times there are a lot of people with nobody to turn to apart from strangers on the internet so if I can I give an answer xx
