@lesley82 well don't have one then but don't belittle someone who wants one, no need for it.

@lesley82 but why would you bother saying anything then? Says a lot about the sort of person you are don't you think?
by (270 points)
@lesley82 very judgemental there is nothing wrong with owning a hot tub or being a council tennant unless you are mortgage free which l very much doubt you yourself could end up one day needing a council property. your insults/judgements say a lot about you

Got a lazyspa to see how much it would get used. Normally the smart meter says £1. 45ish a day, with lazyspa its upto around £4. 25. Obviously chemicals to maintain it too. Dont cost to much but its still a factor, as you need to look after the water or possibly refill and reheat!

See we have been thinking of getting one but surely they are designed more for the winter? So would only fully run them in the colder months? Duno I'm in two minds xx
by (300 points)
@jipijapa we would only use one in the winter. Personally can’t see the attraction in the summer!

@bremsstrahlung96420 yeah that's my thinking too x

Depends on how much you want to use it once at the right temperature it's not a lot but you need to use it every day. its a lot cheaper in summer. had one for for 5 years.

They're like trampolines now! Years ago you were "the nuts" if you had a trampoline in the garden. Now everyone has got one. I wonder what will be next?  Oh and I totally have a trampoline in the garden and wish I could afford a hot tub lol

Hot tubs are a luxury, they need maintenance, and yes they cost money to run. Just like a car really. I bought mine for hydrotherapy for my back condition.
by (980 points)
@regent231 has it helped ? Xx
by (3.3k points)
@geese it does help, my muscles get tense supporting my back, that goes up to my shoulders and neck. The tub just makes the muscles more flexible, I get a better sleep xx

The cheap shit inflatable ones are expensive to run as they don’t retain heat when not in use so you either refill every time you use it with hot water or pay through the nose. mine is a proper one, well insulated, £350 extra insulated cover on top and it costs about 90p a day. running at 40 degrees 24/7
by (3.3k points)
@fadiman you stirring the pot
by (1.8k points)
@regent231 perhaps a little. but I’m a chav after all !
