Question

So not gardening related but I need help with my aloe Vera plant. It’s around 4 years old and has always grown down instead of up? It’s not over watered, or root rot. The problem is trying to support the new leaves that are forever sprouting. Obviously the bottles are until I find a solution. It’s been reported into a bigger pot which helped the bottom leaves but not the top? I’ve googled for months and everyone I’ve spoken to is clueless ‍♀️

Hey it might not be what’s wrong but maybe it’s lack of strong sun light? Apparently they need about 6 hours a day or so. Hope it helps.

@leffen no probs must just be a one of a kind aloe  it looks healthy otherwise so I wouldn’t worry

It isn't in a draft or a cool spot by any chance, they can go a bit mushy if it's cold.

@idun19 it’s not near any drafts and not sat on a windowsill but on my bedside drawers, the sun shines on it all day near enough ‍♀️ might need trimmed I think xx

They like a sunny windowsill but not in direct sunlight and hardly any water or faffing about with

My alex the aloe Vera is exactly the same think he thinks he is a spider plant instead of an aloe

Mine is the same . I just let her get on with it. She has so many offspring I can't keep up with the separations and potting on . Even the babies are having babies !
