Artificial grass - I’ve ordered 24m square of artificial turf and it’s not one big roll, as a carpet would be. It will be in several pieces. My other half is now totally convinced that it will look terrible, it’ll be impossible to lay it, and the joints will all be visible. Is he right or can anyone put my mind at rest?

If you are not happy then send it back and buy from elsewhere. It usually comes in 4m wide rolls so if your area is 6m x 4m (24m2) then they could supply it in one roll

@mojica52885 yeah it’s 6x4 but I was on a very tight budget due to being out of work so that was the cheapest I could find. Just hoping it’s not awful

@hodson Have a look how much the tape is as depending how many pieces you have to tape together you may need a lot of it and if its expensive, send the current order back and put the money you would of spent on tape on a different supplier. It can be joined and the joints won't be seen but it depends how many and what direction they need to be laid.

You get artificial grass tape to cover the joins xx

It's ok as long as you lay the 'pile' all in one direction.

24 meter square roll? That’s one hell of a lawn . it will look fine just joint tape it and make sure the pile is the right way and peg it well  so long as the base is dig out and prepared properly it will look great

Look at all the artificial pitches around, there all joined and you wouldn't know.

How many pieces will need joining and how deep is the pile? My area was 33m2 so we had to join 2 pieces. You will always see a join but only if you are looking for it. The thicker the pike the harder it will be to see. Have a look on artificial grass sites and it will guide you through the whole process.

He's right. You can always make out the joins in artificial grass. Especially if its the cheap stuff. Doesnt look great.
