Hi guys, just in need of some advice around artificial grass, we dug up the garden last year as the previous owners had ruined the grass and we’re about to get it redone, but can’t decide between real or artificial grass. My partner has hay fever and wondered if having artificial grass made a huge difference with that or if people just felt it didn’t make it much different? Thanks

@roaring would you say the deeper the pile on it the better and more comfortable on the feet

Not the longest pile I got , I think, 37 mill with abase like moss under. garden centres have choices, worth going to look and see what you like best then you can look around for the best prices.

I’ve had fake the last 4 years and can see the benefits especially as I have a dog. But I do find it gets hot and is quite uncomfortable and scratchy if you wanted to sit on it. The dog much prefers real grass too so when I move in a couple of weeks I will be keeping real. We put fake in at this house as the grass wasn’t growing very well basically just moss and is quite small so not really worth getting a mower out for. It’s still in great condition although do have to weed it and remove the moss that grows on top.
