Hi guys need some advice we are having artificial grass, we want to keep cosy down but not go too cheap, if we were to lay it ourselves what would people advise to put down for decent drainage (we have 2 dogs). Or would you recommend paying some one to provide and lay it for us?

I install Astro turf on landscaping jobs. I found it far better to get the supplier to fit it as they can do a far better job. We build a frame batten an inch down fill with hardcore the the grass fitters top off with there compound and install the turf. It’s won’t move and with be softer under foot. Same as @bauxite just said.

Me and hubby did ours. We dug down 4inch made a wooden frame put 2inch aggregate and 2inch sharp sand hired a wacker plate then put down a membrane then the fake grass. Best thing we did no more muddy paw prints all over the house and i disinfect once a month.
