@aminoplast86 didn’t think of trying to flip them

@penley625 You can't flip them, they're not the same on each side.

I'm wondering the same this is with sanding and jet washing. We have a natural oak oil waiting to go on but worried the grey that's left on will show through x

@humblebee did it take ages?
by (460 points)
It's taken a few days of jet washing, few days of sanding but what u cant see is the side of the decking is still grey. Jet wash was good but was splintering wood so be careful x not sure if worth trying oil on this or try my best to get rid of grey. Just painted all the fence and rabbit hutch x

I've been doing mine for a few days now. I've used ronseal decking stripper which was useless. I've used cheap paint stripper which lifted some of it. And finally I used nitromors and I'm still in this position. After all if the I've wire brushed gently and jet washed. I've also got dark oak oil to go on. Im not wasting anymore money or time stripping it as it's been days. I'm thinking of selling the oil and buying paint to redo it.

@brandtr346 you’ve got some patience! Half hour and I gave up

@penley625 its infuriating how long it's taking lol just want to know if the oil will go over any bits that wont budge. Dont really want to use chemicals as have pets. X

@humblebee maybe I just need to keep going. Fence and hutch look a good colour! We did the shed and fence the other week x

Just paint it all green.
by (570 points)
@highboy trying to get the green off as I don’t like it
by (1.1k points)
@penley625 OK but it just may be easier to go over in a colour that suits you and near the decking colour. I should imagine the paid would be hard to remove.

Meant paint not paid. X
by (570 points)
@highboy I didn’t know if I could just paint over it  x
by (1.1k points)
@penley625 or fence paint. Good look.
by (180 points)
You can paint over it if you give it a sanding down first

Jet wash then get the belt sander on it, 120 grit sand paper. You could hand sand but I don't envy you. Then either paint or stain
