@impinge ahh that's good, if I miss a year it will be ok as long as it grows x

@thierry304 I bought same last year its grown a little. I want to keep it in a pot.
by (750 points)
@tko2 that's what I want to do so. i can grow it over the pergola x
by (1.9k points)
@thierry304 I'd love to have it grow on the house but eventually we will need to re render the house so I'd be devastated if I had to take it off the house . I've seen people grow them as trees in a pot x
by (750 points)
@tko2 yeah I've seen that too, they are so pretty, I dont blame you if you need to re render it would be such a shame x

Not very fast growing so get it planted now so your grandchildren can appreciate it in all it’s glory

@luteous46537 crikey that long x
by (450 points)
@silly8 haha maybe not quite that long but 2 or 3 years to get it flowering well and then a long time to get it all up your wall or along a fence
by (1.9k points)
@luteous46537 ah right. Not the plant for me then  thanks for reply xx
by (450 points)
Don’t let the wait put you off though, it’s well worth it. They look amazing, plant one either side of an arch and it will be covered in 2 or 3 years
by (1.9k points)
@luteous46537 they are really pretty in flower but need something a bit quicker. xx
by (450 points)
@silly8 there’s some amazing clematis about (cheap at aldi) which grow nice and quick

I was asking our neighbour about hers the other day. It is glorious and all over the front of their house. She said they planted it when they moved in 6 years ago.

They can grow up to 10feet in a season but they are slow to mature and flowers can take 3/5 years

@walk3 jasmines are beautiful and smell lovely x
by (220 points)
@walk3 If you want something fast growing with beautiful blossoms nothing beats clematis Montana it will cover a pergola in maybe two years or even less x

Grow sweet peas to climb the same place to flower in summer
