Good morning all Can anyone tell me, is it possible to treat and kill weeds, without killing the grass?

If it’s for your lawn you could get your local Green Thumb . They come and manage your lawn 4 times a year cost is depending on size of lawn. They scarify, and treat all of it. Ours measures about 80 sq metres and it cost £13 per month. Well worth it.

Weed and feed doesn’t kill the grass but it does turn the weeds that are in the grass black you would then need to put seed down where the weeds were

Yes. It’s all to do with active ingredients. Any weed killer with the active ingredient “glyphosate” is a TOTAL kill. It will strip your grass too. There are 2 other main active ingredients. “Mecoprop-p” will do your main broadleaf weeds (chickweed, plantain etc) and “2-4-D” also cover broadleaf weeds and clovers

In addition to this. Every weed killer is required by law to state the active ingredient on the bottle/packaging

Yes you need to buy Weedol Lawn Killer either in a spray gun or one l prefer which is a lot cheaper Liquid Concentrate mix in hand sprayer and use

Depends what percentage of your lawn is weed and what percentage grass. For weed and feed or lawn weedkiller will only kill weeds and nit the grass. But if you have lots of weed it will leave huge patches. Odd weed the grass will just grow into the patch

Aftercut is the best I've used. depends how many weeds. and moss is in the lawn. turns the weeds black and kills them. but certainly feeds the lawn allso. i just buy the patch repair and within a week or so my lawn is looking lush again

I use product called Verdone as it just kills the weeds in a lawn. They may have slightly changed the name to Weedol Lawn

I wouldn’t bother getting weed killer get Green Thumb in there is bound to be a franchise near you. Best thing I ever did was use them in my last place they come four times a year. Money well spent in my opinion.
