Has anyone made their own patio ? I just had a quote done for my little patio(4. 2mx2m) I wanted to have in my garden. But I had my hopes crushed cause I cannot afford to pay the offered price! Is there a way to make it at all? Any ideas welcome! Please help!

Yes Im a complete novice and I laid my own with the help of my two children and younger sister. Its hard graft and a lot of prep but saved a fortune and was proud I did. Bought the stones in a kit 2m by 2m x

It's not particularly difficult if you're up for some hard work. What is the area like at the moment?

The paving slabs arnt cheap! But if you are handy/diy and can mix cement (or lay sharp sand) and use spirit level you should be able to do?

I have the bricks for a patio but not the know how. my patio would need to include an outside drain cover and be sloped away from the house .

Facebook marketplace people give away patio slabs all the time and you can clean up old ones for reuse, plus free hardcore from same place.
