Stain or a light colour! I had my fences silver copse and my decking a very similar colour decking paint and regret it so much now I want to go lighter!

Brown if no plants going in or grey if you intend to plant as the grey really makes them stand out

Leave them as they are. I think painting fences boxes the actual garden in rather like drawing a thick outline around a shape personally.
by (630 points)
@knockwurst I won’t leave them as they are as it’s best to treat them to protect them
by (840 points)
@flunky Most fences are treated if they’ve been done professionally.

Once you paint the fencing, there's no going back. I have Urban Slate & Willow on our shed, but to keep in with our oiled sleepers, we've just oiled our fences.

This is what we used on the fence, it’s what we used when we lived by your mam, you always fancied our deck  x
by (630 points)
@hauger where did you get it from? Yeah I always liked how your decking looked
by (780 points)
In eBay you can by it as a multi buy, it will go straight through a sprayer too! Xx

I think with that amazing back ground of trees and back ground i would be painting them forest green then they would blend into the back ground

Definitely urban slate. When flowers grow up in the borders the green and colour of the plants will look stunning against the slate.
