Hi All, I have a large(ish) flower bed, which the local cats are using as an en-suite. At the moment it is filled with gravel and plants are in pots so easily removable, apart from 2 which i would hope to keep. removing the flower bed is not an option as there are the remains of family pets there! I have tried those black spikey things from Amazon which didnt work (ended up with poop on them which was impossible to get off), larger type gravel / slate chippings hasnt worked either. Has anyone any suggestions? I am tired of cleaning out the poop, I am seriously considering paving over it and sitting the potts on the paving, or concreting over it. Thanks all.

I used to put orange peel in the kids sandpit and that kept them away.

Mix cinnamon into the gravel, we have it in the outdoor sandpit and they don't go near it. Also cats don't like lavender apparently so maybe plant some in the bed.

We got my Mum some sonic repellers on line, battery, motion sensors and they seem to be working at her house. She's had them since Mothers Day one front garden and one back.

Cats hate garlic, i had a cat that was being g bullied in my garden by another cat, used to come in thru a hole in the fence so i put garlic in and around it and solved my problem.

I used citrus and it’s worked. Had the same issue and not a single poop since. Just squeezed oranges all over and them tore up the skins and left them scattered

There actually a plant you can buy that the cats hate its to do with the smell of the plant cat dont like the smell so they won't use your flower bed i cant remember for the life of me what its called i only knew about it from a garden programme i was watching maybe try to gogles it and see if you can find it.

Curry plant. Anyone who uses Chili powder wants to see what' happens to a cat that gets it on their fur or in their eyes On the fur the cats groom. Chili cause severe diaoreah. In the eyes its strong enough to blind an animal
