We've just potted up a load of bell pepper seedlings we grew out of a pepper we had for dinner one night, we started them off in toilet rolls with one end just folded in so the soil didn't fall out the bottom. You can do the same with a slice of tomato, and we've just planted some seeds from a melon and strawberry but not sure if these will work

Www. premierseedsdirect. com These are amazing and cheap. No frills you just get the seeds in a small pouch but I've found the germination really good.

Also save large plastic milk and drink bottles. If you cut the lower end off you can leave the lid off and use them as a decent mini cloche while we're still at risk of frosts.
