Any tips on how to attach them to a painted wall without drilling ideally

@peeler5 command hooks.

@townscape thanks, reckon they'll stick around for a few months on an outdoor wall?
by (170 points)
Yes Im sure they would, I use them to hang my outdoor christmas decorations up and just leave the hooks for the next year.

These are fab too if you need to hang heavier items. I use then outside for everything as I always change my mind where I want things lol. Although they dont come off as clean as command hooks do!

I leave mine out, they were a house warming gift 2yrs ago & are still working fine. To be honest it's the wintertime I see more of them as it's dark so early

The batteries they come with tend to be a bit rubbish change it out for normal battery see if they work if they light up you need order a new rechargeable. If they dont try all the little joints they can warp and expand. Wipe solar screen if they still dont work they probably knackered but 9 out 10 times its battery. Word of warning do not leave normal battery in there more than testing the normal battery will break them.

@venlo64 yep 100% agree most of the time they just needed a new rechargeable battery. So many people give up and throw them away when it's an easy fix x

I got myn from home bargains. Lasted a year. Tried to change the battery and you cant undo the solar thing to do that. Pffft. I've wound them all round trellis too so going to have to cut the bastard things off . Pffft ‍♀️

All mine have been either b & m or Poundland lights. I seal round the solar panel with either super glue or hot glue and leave out all year round, all been fine so far . Only the solar ornaments I bring in over the bad weather months xx
