Have just taken out 3 dead bushes, have paint ready for the fence but need inspiration on what to do with the flower bed. Ideas please?

Put some lavender in and small shrubs that don't grow too big, there are some hebe's with purple leaves that look nice, or if your unsure just put some bedding plants in for colour until you make your mind up that's what I did,

First bit, what colour are you painting fences? Second, what's the position like? Sun, shade etc. Third, whats the soil like? Fourth, how much time do you want to spend maintaining when done? Might sound alot, but get that right to start with so you know what to look for xx

@proceeding fancy seeing you on this group! Fence is staying the colour it is as we had a brand new tub left in our shed! It’s the shady side of the garden. Soil is mixed with bark. And I have pots and another full flower bed to maintain so maybe not too much maintenance. Xxx
