If I scatter forget me not seeds, are they likely to flower this year please? I’ve not grown them before but would like to for sentimental reasons. Thanks in advance.

When you have forget me knots in your garden you have them forever. They spread and can be a nuisance if you are particular of their position as they self seed everywhere.

@sidwell I have a wildlife style garden that I want to fill all the gaps with. The more they spread the better

@spumescent100 That's great for forget me nots but if you were putting them in a formal garden they would drive you crazy. Good luck.

Mine grow all over quite by accident. They came with a chive plant i was given. The first year i had pulled loads up before they flowered thinking they were weeds :( i didnt scatter any seeds and they are all over in large clumps. I love them so imagine you can just scatter not sure if it will be next year they flower though

They're biennials so you sow them this autumn and they flower in Spring. Then they self seed forever.
