@lovely3301 if you have plastic pallets (as you do) lay a weed membrane down first off all, then screw the pallets together as best you can, then (if you can) stand the frame up and fix opposite tuning boards to the pallets, making sure you have a board for each joint and also as good spacing (ideally 450mm) if you can spare the boards, if you then fix the top deck boards to the ones underneath your decking should last 10x longer then any other decking

Be a nightmare as nothing to screw to if u can fit treated Battons 25mm x 50mm to them opposite direction to the decking every 400mm then screw decking to the battons with 45mm screws leaving a 4/5mm gap inbetween each plank of decking start from the outside so there full planks and work your way into the house then scribe the last piece in

Could you not attach some wooden framing with bolts and then use that to attach the decking boards? It would also keep them off the plastic so less likely to rot.

Looking at them bolts and washers, countersunk bolts into decking will do

I wouldn't do this for a customer I'd build a real frame and deck. What you could do if you are on a budget is build a floating frame on top of ur pallets and boards can screw to the floating frame job done
by (590 points)
@cobelligerent thank u , yeah just trying to keep a little cost down if it’s possible
by (2.1k points)
@lovely3301 just make sure your pallets are sturdy
by (590 points)
@cobelligerent yes definitely will
