Can anyone give me any advice on how to fix my canopy (no idea if it has a real name ) it’s clearly seen better days and I have no issue with sanding it down to repaint but I think it’s just normal timber and I think one of its feet could do with been replaced. Anyone know how to treat it? People are saying to replace it with plastic cladding but I don’t think it will look at good. Not that it looks good atm anyway

If its rotten need to break out all the rot and then fill with 2part epoxy hard to tell of them pictures. Also check above roove and make sure water tight could be leaking into that corner

Thanks James, I didn’t even think of epoxy. The top corner is muck I think but il check if it’s water tight, the previous owner hadn’t touched it for year. With the epoxy is the certain way to inject it or do we just keep push it into place?

@mosasaur. Depending on the damage it may be too big too fix. You'd just mix it as normal and fill it in like filler then sand back But you need to clear all the rot and make sure it dry then maybe a bit at a time
