Planted some cosmos seeds 22nd feb no sign of life yet? They are kept on the windowsill. Should I leave lid on or off of a day?

I love these green trays but not for starting seedlings. I start in an open tray, normally in a propagator. Then when picking out use these trays.

These are dianthus but I still use this kind of thing for cosmos and everything else to germinate. Apart from sweet peas I put those straight in a small pot each

Some seeds need light to germinate so I’d leave the lid off

Leave the lid on until the seedlings start emerge wipe the I side of the lid daily to prevent damping off as soon as they come through remove the lid
