So I had a gardener round today who told me I have about 4 cherry trees at the end of my garden. Unfortunately for me and the cherry trees the council have indiscriminately cut everything back. So I’m left with 4 sprouting stumps. What are the chances of me being able to salvage them?

Depends when they cut them back. If it was autumn /winter they should sprout back.

If they're already sprouting chances are they'll recover.

I cut mine right back to the truck about 3 years ago now, thought it was dead, it’s grown back and is huge again now.
