My terracotta pots are all cracking after the winter (they weren't even cheap ones). Any ideas to save them? I was thinking winding natural coloured rope round the top to the base but this could get pricey. Any other ideas?

Same happened to most of mine. Tried to move some but they broke apart into big pieces so I chucked them and got some large fabric beds instead.

@laudable what are fabric beds?

@laudable it's a shame, because I like them, they weren't cheap and plants starting to come in again this year.

It's a raised bed or pot made from a fabric material that allows great aeration.

@laudable I like that. My pots are on steps but I have space elsewhere for this :)

Use the broken bits to put in the bottem of pots to help with drainage x

@weathertight ah, is that what's happened. They are on my back steps and thought they were protected. Good tip. I will try that with the ones that have survived.
