I cheated a bit and just removed the dead cyclamen from before Christmas and replaced with primroses as rest was fine!

put them out now and frosts will do them no good. The old saying is don't cast a cloud till May is out. The same applies to plants.

well I don't put mine until the end of May, and then they happily flower and stay fresh looking all Summer long until the beginning of Autumn.

winter stuff is still in flower, looking a bit battered though this year I must admit with all the rain. But when they have completely finished flowering I will clean and steralised my baskets and then plant up for the Summer. That way it saves planting up twice plus less expense. But I must admit I have flowers for the majority of all four seasons

A few little tips - 1) when doing hanging baskets and wall planters - put a disposable nappy (or 2 depending on size of planter) plastic side down in the bottom of the basket or planter.
